杜新元，斋号：三声阁，笔名：阿元。1945年生于辽宁省丹东东港孤山镇。籍贯：山东海阳。是中国有突出贡献专家（一级书法家），国家一级美术师，中华诗词艺术家（一级）。时有“四杜三王”之称，“阿元三绝诗书画”之誉。三绝合璧是其独具风格，别于古今。2014年出版有《中国当代名家书画集——杜新元》（大红袍）（天津人民美术出版社），2015年出版《中国当代书法大师·杜新元》（外交部，中国侨联作为国礼，由中国侨联出版社出版）。

杜新元，一个“真诗在民间”的草根诗人。一个“不同世俗争髙下，只与前贤较短长”，耕耘书画于籬笆牆外的拓荒者。《三绝诗书画合璧》前无古人，时无同调，后难有来者。有识者曰：“阿元三绝诗书画，当代之郑板桥”。书法泰斗欧阳中石先生评曰：“美，雅，妙”。其斋号：三声阁，笔名：阿元。阁上有诗：“平生秉笔诗书画，敢借晋唐渡汉槎。李杜歌诗羲献字，三声阁上揖菁华”。有联：“篆隶真行草一笔，诗词曲赋歌三声”。他“风雨多情摅血性”，“我以我情画我山”，在艺术创作中坚守独立意志与自由思维，“敢爱江山吾作主，形骸放浪此中来”。这就是杜新元，一个看其作品就会认知他的人，一个鸣于当世，定会名于后世的人。
